BioMADE Member Portal Community Standards and Publishing Guidelines

Thank you for being a member of BioMADE! The BioMADE Member Portal and its Discussion Boards are valuable resources to help you connect with other members and access key information. We hope that you will use these resources to make new connections, build R&D and B2B relationships, and find partners to team up with on BioMADE projects. To ensure the best possible experience and a respectful, inclusive environment for all users, we have established some basic guidelines for participation on BioMADE’s Member Portal and Discussion Boards.

By joining and using the Member Portal and Discussion Boards, you agree that you have read and will follow the policies set for these Member resources. You also agree to only submit content that is relevant, helpful, and respectful of others. The Member Portal and Discussion Boards are a great platform with which to solicit the advice of your peers, benefit from their experience, provide feedback on topics related to BioMADE’s program areas, and build relationships through ongoing conversations with BioMADE staff and other Members.

To maintain an environment that encourages respectful and meaningful dialogue, BioMADE reserves the right to take action against your account or content if you violate our community standards.  These standards apply to all users.  Depending on the severity of the violation, BioMADE may limit the visibility of certain content or remove it entirely. In addition, users of the Member Portal and Discussion Boards will have the ability to flag content to be reviewed by the moderator or share their concerns by email at memberportal@biomade.org.  Repeated or egregious offenses will result in account restriction, suspension, or termination of access to the Member Portal and Discussion Boards.  If you believe action taken on your content or your account was in error, you can submit an appeal by email to memberportal@biomade.org.

APPEALS PROCESS

BioMADE will remove content that violates the Community Standards and Publishing Guidelines of our Member Portal and Discussion Boards. When we do this, we will also send you a notice explaining how your content violates our policies and the action we’re taking. If you believe your content has been removed in error, you will have the opportunity to provide an explanation to memberportal@biomade.org and request further review.

In general, three (3) policy violations will result in account restriction. We provide the opportunity to appeal an account restriction, and we may reinstate a restricted account if the Member agrees to comply with these Member Portal and Discussion Board Community Standards and Publishing Guidelines.

For certain egregious violations of our Community Standards and Publishing Guidelines (e.g., child sexual abuse material, terrorism, extremely violent content, egregious sexual harassment), we may permanently restrict your account after a single violation, and may report such violations to applicable legal authorities as warranted.
