Potential Benefit of Superbrewed Food’s Sustainable Postbiotic Protein on Warfighter Health

Superbrewed Food evaluated its postbiotic protein as a high-performance nutrition solution for military personnel and other demanding operational environments. Produced through anaerobic fermentation and in protein powder form, this allergen-free and vegan ingredient contains more than 85% protein by weight, provides an amino acid profile comparable to whey protein isolate, and delivers essential vitamins and minerals while requiring substantially less land, water, and carbon emissions than conventional proteins. 

This project focused on producing and formulating the ingredient into a format suitable for nutrition applications and assessing its ability to support performance, recovery, resilience, and operational readiness. This protein achieved bioavailability numerically exceeding that of whey protein isolate (a common standard in performance nutrition) and evaluated how it can support muscle protein synthesis, recovery, endurance, and resilience. This is a promising next-generation nutrition platform capable of increasing endurance, shortening recovering times, and supporting warfighter readiness.
